Back to School: Cook up something delicious and healthy for your kids

A constant concern in all families is how to find ways to get kids to eat more healthfully. And with the lack of time many parents have, they have to do a juggling act just to fulfill their daily responsibilities, let alone get creative in the kitchen.

At Royal Prestige® we care about your family, so we have created kitchen equipment to help you cook more easily, quickly and more healthily. The Royal Prestige® NOVEL™ Cooking System helps you to prepare dishes that better preserve the flavor and nutrients of foods, as they can cook by adding very little water and no fats or oil.

Oatmeal Pizza

We all know that children love pizza, and there is nothing better than to prepare one of their favorite dishes in a healthier way. You can make this dish with fun and colorful ingredients so that your children enjoy it with all the senses.

For the dough, place oatmeal, yeast and sugar in the Royal Prestige® Power Blender Max. Then pour the contents into a 3‐quart Mixing Bowl and knead, adding in water and salt to taste. Let it rest.

Place sundried tomatoes, garlic, olive oil, lime, Parmesan cheese, salt and pepper in the blender to prepare the pesto.

Now stretch the dough into a rectangular shape and place it on our previously oiled Double Griddle, heated for 2 minutes at medium-high temperature. Reduce heat to medium and cook for 9 minutes. Then, turn and layer on the pesto, your children's favorite ingredients and sprinkle with mozzarella.

Cook for 9 more minutes and it's ready! Place the pizza on the table and you will see how the children run to enjoy this dish, making it disappear in minutes.

Avocado and Edamame Hummus

Hummus is an excellent healthy snack for when the kids get hungry, but it is not yet time for a meal. It can also be enjoyed for breakfast or snack with crunchy vegetable sticks.

For this hummus, place soybean edamame and water in the 3‐quart Dutch Oven and cook over medium-high heat with the Redi‐Temp™ valve open until it whistles. Then lower the heat and cook for 4 more minutes. Let cool.

In the Power Blender Max, add beans, avocado, pine nuts, habanero pepper, sour cream, salt, tahini sauce, lemon juice, garlic and cilantro sprigs. Blend for 30 seconds. Next, add olive oil and blend until all the ingredients are well integrated. Refrigerate for 10 minutes and bon appétit!
